The South West Children's Heart Circle

Each year the Heart Circle has at least ten places in the London Marathon. This is one of the major ways in which we raise funds, and for those who take part it is one of the most rewarding.

We ask that our runners pledge to raise at least £500. This ensures that we cover our costs and still achieve a good level of "profit" to put towards the support of children.

When someone accepts one of our places we always ask that they also enter the public ballot for a place in their own right. If they are successful this means that they would still run on our behalf, but  it also then frees up one of our allocated spaces for another runner.

We try to build a team spirit among our runners each year, organising a get together before the big day and providing T-shirts for the run.
